Who we are

For years we have supplied Polish practitioners with original, 100% analogue Besson equipment: the N426 Electronic Ear, individual workstations, voice modules, headphones, transducers, musical media and accessories. We provide advice, delivery, servicing and repairs on site, in Poland — in direct contact with the Swiss manufacturer.

Besson of Switzerland designs, manufactures, calibrates and services in Switzerland the professional equipment used in listening pedagogy according to Alfred Tomatis. The company's guiding thread is a continuous analogue lineage, advancing in measured increments, with no technological break: real-time analogue gating, precession preserved, fidelity to the original parameters that define the method.

The story of Besson of Switzerland begins in 1986, the year its founder, Christophe Besson, met Alfred Tomatis. From that meeting grew a lasting commitment to the method: for years, Besson practised, repaired and maintained the equipment — individual workstations, headphones, servicing — staying as close as possible to the hardware and its real-world use.

In 1992, this involvement became a company: Acoustic System Besson SA, working in close collaboration with Alfred Tomatis on the design and manufacture of his equipment. It is this continuity, unbroken ever since, that constitutes the manufacturer's expertise today.

The 100% analogue processing of the signal is not nostalgia: it is a deliberate technical decision, made to remain faithful to what gives the gating and filtering their effectiveness according to Tomatis. Each generation of equipment extends the previous one, in keeping with the same original parameters.

Today, Besson of Switzerland designs, manufactures and calibrates its equipment in Switzerland, in partnership with the International Federation of Audio-Psycho-Phonology and Listening Pedagogy (F.I.A.P.E.). APF Equipment is proud to represent this equipment on the Polish market.
